HOME / NEWS

The Digital Innovation Days universe from this year will be enriched with bright new constellations. Alongside the event, which will be held in phigital mode from November 10 to 13, 2021, new initiatives, appointments, talks will take place throughout the year and will see the involvement of universities, companies, the business world, and institutions, transforming Digital Innovation Days into a real Brand centered on four focuses: Digital, Innovation, Sustainability and In-Formation. Among the novelties, a series of spin-offs called Digital Innovation Talks, which will be held during Milan's most popular "Weeks": webinars, roundtables, mini-events and other initiatives, to address the relevant industries from the perspective of the new four pillars.

First appointment at Milan Digital Week

The first appointment in order of time with Digital Innovation Talks will be at Milano Digital Week, the event promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Department of Digital Transformation and Civic Services - and organized by IAB Italia, Cariplo Factory and Hublab, which will take place from March 17 to 21.

Digital Innovation Days and Milan Digital Week meet and mutually marry their projects, with the common goal of designing together the city of tomorrow in an innovative, sustainable and equitable way. "Fair and sustainable city" is in fact the theme of Digital Week for 2021-a topic also dear to Didays, which has chosen sustainability as one of the pillars of the entire Didays project for 2021.

"The choice to participate in Milan Digital Week ," explain Giulio and Nicola Nicoletti, CEO and COO of Didays, " was quite natural. The theme of sustainability is now very central, and it is no coincidence that it is one of the four pillars on which we have built our entire project for 2021. We have very clear and defined points of contact with Digital Week, and it could only be so, living now in a society in which integration, inclusiveness, and respect for rights also inevitably pass through innovation, digital (re)literacy, the reduction of the digital divide, and the possibility of offering everyone and indiscriminately access to the net. Unfortunately, the last few months of pandemic have taught us how this divide is still too great and penalizing for entire segments of the population. But this is just one example. If we think about the cities of the near future, they will have to be able to respond to new needs and a number of other emergencies such as waste management, environmental pollution, etc. What can innovation, technology and information do to reduce these risk factors? As Didays we are also asking these questions and want to help find the answers."

Scheduled events

The first event will be on Thursday, March 18, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with three panels devoted to the relationship between innovation and cities. The first panel, titled "What are the ills that grip cities? Waste!" Didays' participation will not be limited to this single event, however. On the same afternoon, Giulio Nicoletti, representing Digital Innovation Days Italia, will participate in the Young Table #DigitalExperiences - The solutions of startups and innovative companies for the retail, delivery, digital marketing and tourism sectors" that the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce is organizing as part of Milan Digital Week.

The meeting will take place online on Thursday, March 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. During the event, space will be given to startups and innovative companies selected as part of the Call for solutions: innovations for the proximity economy promoted by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce. The projects that will be presented will propose solutions in e-commerce with delivery, traceability, customer flow management, digital marketing, tourism and entertainment, among others.

Finally, on the following day, March 19, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., with The Map Report, the event's media partner, with Rinascita Digitale and 24 Pr & Events srl, Didays will be the promoter of the webinar "Transversal Cities - The New Digital Squares. Risks and Opportunities in Building an Equitable and Sustainable Society." The event, which is included in the calendar of activities planned for #MilanoDigitalWeek, will discuss how digital platforms (the new "squares") have grown rapidly during the 2020s, supplanting physical places due to pandemic needs. To participate in the event, you can follow the 11:30 a.m. live broadcast at this link bit.ly/CittaTransversali.

So we start in Milan, and to Milan we will return, in November. In between, lots of news, surprises, appointments, talks, under the banner of innovation and the future.
