Stefano Cappello, 29, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and is the founder and CEO of Limenet, a pioneering Italian industrial company in the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) industry.
Under Stefano’s leadership, Limenet is actively developing advanced industrial plants capable of permanently removing CO₂ from the atmosphere using limestone, seawater, and renewable electricity. This innovative technology is designed to help businesses achieve their net-zero climate objectives.
Since starting Limenet from his garage in 2021, Stefano has rapidly expanded the company. He currently leads a dedicated team of over 17 professionals committed to advancing climate solutions. Before establishing Limenet, Stefano gained valuable experience at Leonardo Aircraft, where he worked in the quality department overseeing the final assembly of the M346 aircraft.
Driven by a clear vision and responsibility towards the environment, Stefano often emphasizes: “Ours is the generation that must make the change. No one else but us will do it.”
